The Team

Who We Are

Driven by equal parts passion and fun, the team at The Courts at Duntroon

are committed to making your pickleball experience one to remember.

From intro clinics to high level competition, we welcome everyone that shares our enthusiasm for the game.

Tory started playing pickleball two years ago and has already made more friends than at any other time in her life including during the first year of university and on maternity leave. Pickleball is the best!

Tory teaches pilates at Active Life Conditioning in Collingwood and Body n' Balance in Creemore. She worked for many years in the non-profit sector, most recently leading educational programming for a charity that serves people with mobility disabilities. She’s a Master Gardener with a passion for native plants and local flowers. She lives in Collingwood with her family.

Tory has her NCCP Level 1 and is excited to use her skills to take the Mixed League to a whole new level!

Tammy found pickleball during a season of transition and quickly became a place for her to find connection, challenge, growth, and joy. Its energy is what makes it special: approachable for beginners, inspiring at every level, and filled with people from all ages and stages of life.

That enthusiasm has grown into ongoing study, intentional skill development, dedicated drilling, competitive play, and leveling up through tournament play. Along the way, that passion has opened meaningful opportunities to give back to the game and the community — earning NCCP Level 1 Pickleball Coaching Certification, serving as an Ambassador at Smash Pickleball Collingwood while helping lead Drills Club, and supporting Tuesday Ladies League at Duntroon this summer.

Best of all, pickleball has created an incredible sense of community and friendships that extend well beyond the court.

Hanne Poulsen is a passionate educator, musician, and coach dedicated to creating engaging and supportive learning environments. With experience teaching students from preschool through high school, she brings strong skills in leadership, classroom management, and coaching to her role as Camp Director. Hanne holds a Bachelor of Music from Queen’s University and has a diverse background in performance, collaboration, and community-based education.

Hanne has been playing a variety of sports ever since she was a kid, and has excelled in pickleball competing in the Rising League just after 6 months of picking up the sport. At camp, she will help lead hockey, golf, and pickleball with a focus on skill development, teamwork, and confidence-building. Hanne believes that learning should be active, inclusive, and fun, encouraging campers to challenge themselves when engaging in activities that improve physical literacy.

Neil Buie is our groundskeeping / court maintenance super star!

It began with Neil spending countless hours clearing brush along the 15th fairway, making it easier for golfers to find stray balls and keep the pace of play moving.

However, the allure of the wiffle ball brought him off the course and on to the courts.

Neil has been instrumental in setting up the courts, keep up the clubhouse and outhouse, as well as taking care of daily court cleaning so that our members can just show up and play.

The only complaint we have about Neil is that he doesn't get to enjoy all of his hard work.  So, if you see him walking around, please hand him a paddle and ask him to join you.  But watch out - he has a killer top spin!
